We’re an established optometric practice with locations in Bristow, Oakton and Stone Ridge, Virginia. We provide complete family eye care including comprehensive adult and pediatric eye exams, contact lens fittings, diagnosis and management of eye diseases, and emergency eye care services. We also carry a large selection of fashion eyewear for adults and children, sunglasses and accessories.

Our team of experienced doctors has proudly served Northern Virginia since 1997 and we accept most insurance plans.

Our Doctors

Dr. Tiffany Dunbar Lione

Dr. Tiffany Lione, a longtime resident of northern Virginia, has been practicing optometry since 1998 in both private practice and refractive surgery. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and Northern Virginia Optometric Association. Additionally, Dr. Lione serves as a clinical examiner for the National Board of Optometry.

Dr. Lione graduated in the top of her class at Virginia Tech in biology/premed. She then studied at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, where she received her Doctorate of Optometry. Dr. Lione then entered a challenging residency program in Northeast Philadelphia where she worked with top ophthalmologists in the fields of primary care, refractive surgery, corneal and retinal disease, and emergency eye care.

Dr. Lione is a founding partner of Associates in Eyecare and practices regularly in Stone Ridge, Virginia. She currently lives in Northern Virginia, with her husband, their two children, and the family dog.

Dr. Hieu Vu-Gia

Dr. Hieu Vu-Gia grew up in Connecticut and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from New York University in New York City. Pursuing an interest in optometry led him to the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia where he earned his Doctor of Optometry. After graduation, Dr. Vu-Gia moved to the Washington, DC, metropolitan area and has been in practice here since 1996. He currently resides in Northern Virginia with his wife and two children.

Dr. Vu-Gia is a highly trained optometrist with extensive experience in primary eye care, treatment and management of eye diseases, contact lenses, and the co-management of refractive surgery (especially in Laser Vision Correction). He is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Virginia Optometric Association, and is also a clinical examiner for the National Board of Examiners in Optometry.

As a founding partner of Associates in Eyecare, Dr. Vu-Gia is proud to have pursued his dream of building a practice with a tradition of excellence in eye care. Patients enjoy his outgoing personality and caring attitude. Dr. Vu-Gia is dedicated to providing years of family eye care with the highest standards of professionalism and optometric service to his patients.

Dr. Paul Colbourne

Dr. Paul Colbourne, a graduate of George Mason University, received his Doctor of Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. He possesses extensive experience in complete family eye care, contact lens fitting, treatment and management of ocular disease, and surgical co-management (including Laser Vision Correction). He is a member of the American Optometric Association and Northern Virginia Optometric Association.

Dr. Colbourne practices in Bristow, and Ashburn. He currently lives in Northern Virginia with his wife and their two children.

Dr. Seema Nechel

Dr. Seema Nechel is a true local. She grew up in Northern Virginia and has been in the area since 1973. Dr. Nechel earned her Bachelor of Science from George Mason University and then wenton to the Pennsylvania College of Optometry to earn her Doctor of Optometry. Dr. Nechel has been in private practice since 1996.

Dr. Nechel is a highly experienced and passionate optometrist. Her interests are primary care, contact lenses, diagnosis, treatment, and management of ocular disease and the co-management of ocular surgeries. Dr. Nechel speaks Hindi and Punjabi fluently and is happy to do visual health examinations in her native language. Active in her profession, she is a member of the American Optometric Association, Virginia Optometric Association, and the Northern Virginia Optometric Association.

Dr. Nechel is the newest member of the Associates In Eyecare, and is excited to be part of a progressive team. She resides in Northern Virginia with her husband and two children. Her interests are her family, reading and the outdoors.
