We’re an established optometric practice with locations in Bristow, Oakton and Stone Ridge, Virginia. We provide complete family eye care including comprehensive adult and pediatric eye exams, contact lens fittings, diagnosis and management of eye diseases, and emergency eye care services. We also carry a large selection of fashion eyewear for adults and children, sunglasses and accessories.

Our team of experienced doctors has proudly served Northern Virginia since 1997 and we accept most insurance plans.

Our Doctors

Dr. Tiffany Dunbar Lione

Dr. Tiffany Lione, a longtime resident of northern Virginia, has been practicing optometry since 1998 in both private practice and refractive surgery. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and Northern Virginia Optometric Association. Additionally, Dr. Lione serves as a clinical examiner for the National Board of Optometry.

Dr. Lione graduated in the top of her class at Virginia Tech in biology/premed. She then studied at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, where she received her Doctorate of Optometry. Dr. Lione then entered a challenging residency program in Northeast Philadelphia where she worked with top ophthalmologists in the fields of primary care, refractive surgery, corneal and retinal disease, and emergency eye care.

Dr. Lione is a founding partner of Associates in Eyecare and practices regularly in Stone Ridge, Virginia. She currently lives in Northern Virginia, with her husband, their two children, and the family dog.

Dr. Hieu Vu-Gia

Dr. Hieu Vu-Gia grew up in Connecticut and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from New York University in New York City. Pursuing an interest in optometry led him to the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia where he earned his Doctor of Optometry. After graduation, Dr. Vu-Gia moved to the Washington, DC, metropolitan area and has been in practice here since 1996. He currently resides in Northern Virginia with his wife and two children.

Dr. Vu-Gia is a highly trained optometrist with extensive experience in primary eye care, treatment and management of eye diseases, contact lenses, and the co-management of refractive surgery (especially in Laser Vision Correction). He is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Virginia Optometric Association, and is also a clinical examiner for the National Board of Examiners in Optometry.

As a founding partner of Associates in Eyecare, Dr. Vu-Gia is proud to have pursued his dream of building a practice with a tradition of excellence in eye care. Patients enjoy his outgoing personality and caring attitude. Dr. Vu-Gia is dedicated to providing years of family eye care with the highest standards of professionalism and optometric service to his patients.

Dr. Paul Colbourne

Dr. Colbourne, a graduate of George Mason University, received his Doctor of Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, with clinical honors. He possesses extensive experience in complete family eye care, contact lens fitting, especially hard to fit custom lenses, treatment and management of ocular disease, and surgical co-management (including Laser Vision Correction).

Dr. Colbourne is a member of the American Optometric Association and Northern Virginia Optometric Association. His passion is integrating the latest technology into the practice, from electronic paperless records to the latest digital lens technology.

Dr. Colbourne is a partner at Associates In Eyecare and practices in Bristow. When he is not with his family, Dr. Colbourne can be found rock climbing or playing the guitar.

Dr. Lindsay Plett

Dr. Plett grew up in South Dakota, where she attended Augustana College. She earned her Doctorate of Optometry from Southern California College of Optometry. As a primary care optometrist, her interests lie heavily in pediatric care, contact lens fitting, and treatment of ocular conditions such as dry eye disease and glaucoma. She is an active member of the American Optometric Association and Virginia Optometric Association.

Dr. Plett moved to Northern Virginia with her husband, who also works as an optometrist. In her spare time, she enjoys volunteer work, is actively involved in her local church, and loves to travel.  She also likes to squeeze in time for furniture projects!

Dr. Plett practices in the Stone Ridge office and looks forward to meeting our wonderful patients and serving their eye care needs.

Dr. Allyssa Nguyen

Dr. Allyssa Nguyen has lived most of her life in Northern Virginia. She attended George Mason University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree. Pursuing her desire to be an eye care provider, Dr. Nguyen earned her Doctor of Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University. She is an active member of the American Optometric Association and Virginia Optometric Association.

Dr. Nguyen is highly experienced in primary eye care and fitment of contact lenses. She has a strong interest in the medical aspect of optometry especially in the diagnosis and treatment/management of ocular diseases with an emphasis on surgical co-management of Laser Vision Correction and cataract patients. Dr. Nguyen is dedicated to building long-term relationships with patients and providing outstanding vision and eye care services. She currently resides in Northern Virginia with her husband and son, and practices in the Bristow office.
